Leg Room Trouble
The problem I was having with a rx7 wa I couldn't heel and toe because of where the steering wheel was against my leg. Can I move the seat back at all. There is only a few inchs there so am thinking it would force the back to be straight then I got a problem there. Anyone know a way around my problem.

And I was only half joking dipshit, if you're tall enough that you have leg fitting trouble your feet are big enough to get across both pedals and this method works fine.
How do I know?
I actually USE it.
As do plenty of other people who don't watch too much Initial D and want to make some cool looking twist of their leg when people are in the car.
In some ways this method is better than heel-toe btw.

Replace the steering wheel with one slightly smaller in diameter.
OR, I think the GXL's are the only models with tilt steering. It may be possible to get the steering column out of a GXL and put it in your car. Where the column passes through the firewall, there is a joint where you seperate the column from the steering rack. You'll have to count the splines to make sure they will mate together. The S4 cars have a large spline and the rest are small but I don't know how many teeth are on it. The S5 GTU has splines that are all the same size. Makes it hard to get your steering wheel straight when you install the column.

Hey np, it's cool...
With heel-toe you can't keep the revs high all the time... you can blip but it's much harder to really control the rpms at a constant level.... this way you can easily... blipping is harder to do while sensitive braking but you can get the hang of it.

Otherwise no tilt on those two cars you mention.
But back to the original problem.
I'd go with an aftermarket or Efini steering wheel. Both are smaller than the stokc FC wheel, as well as will stick further rearward, for extra knee room.
But I suspect also that if you can't Heel/toe with the stock wheel, but have no problems with hitting either the brake or gas; then you are not doing it correctly, as heel placement does not change from normal braking heal placement.

I had the same problem, and the whole half foot on each style just felt right screwy to me....so I just moved my foot up on the brake pedal a little bit and it seemed to work fine, however I think the only reason that was really effective for me was because I have very flexible ankles which allow my foot to bend back farther then normal, but you can try it and see =)
