leaky water pump? gasket? what to do?

i think i have a bad water pump
coolant are leaking under then water pump area,

so it's just a leaky water pump??
or gasket??

what gasket is it???

i have no idea what part i should be looking at and etc,

and how to replace water pump or gasket??
my friend said replacing water pump for an FD is simply bolt on and off affair, how about FC?
i am kinda tired of fixing it myself now, after i took some serious coolant shower etc.
thinking about taking it to mariah, since i live 20 mins away from there..
good idea??

any suggestion?

So your coolant is leaking... Is your car overheating at all when you drive it? Does your heat work very well?

I know when the water pump on my '93 Probe GT went, it began leaking a bit before it actually died completely... As the problem escalated, the car would overheat drastically as I drove it, and even full blast for 15 minutes would produce no warm air from my vents.

Granted, my story wasn't with an FC, but it still wouldn't surprise me if the water pump on it's way out was your culprit....

replace water pump and gasket.
not sure bout the FC, but many water pumps have a vent hole that will pour coolant out if the pump is going bad. that may be it or it may just be the gasket.
i would replace everything though, might as well
its pretty straight forward to replace, pain to take off all the accessory belts though

Just go to the autoparts store and get a waterpump and gasket. BTW, I've alwys just called it a waterpump gasket (I just use some RTV on all mine).

You'll need a waterpump probably, since its leaking from underneath. There is a weep hole that lets coolant leak when the bearings in the waterpump get shitty.

most waterpumps I've bought came with the gasket. And it should have two, since there's a gasket between the waterpump and the pump housing, and between the housing and the engine block. Alternately, RTV is fine for this as well. Definitely replace the waterpump, cheap insurance.

he said that question is shown on computer,
i tried to explain by saying there's no cam and etc, and then he went on and ask me about how many valves i have, 24??
