Leaky rad cap= idle problems?

My upper rad cap started leaking.... BAD.....
Now my car wont idle and dies under 2k if I remove my foot.
I noticed the leak and saw a bunch of wires SOAKED with coolant.
I assume these are the auto idle controls??? Will drying it out/replacing the cap solve this?

The only thing else I did was clean the intake, dont see anything wrong?

change the rad cap, dry the wires/connectors and see what happens. if you've just cleaned the intake and now have a dodgy idle i'd bet you've knocked off a vac line or damaged something around the intake.

the leaky cap, or the idle??

The idle was fine until it started to leak.

It was a bit off. 1.5k drop to 1k, repeat until settled. Then it was fine at like 950rpm....

Steady at 750rpm, after it was warmed up.

If it runs fine after warmup then its probably your thermostat. Its probably stuck open. Although after a few quick revs it should come down to near normal idle.
