Question leaky Racing Beat oil cooler lines

Can someone educate me on these 'an' fittings? I bought a set of stainless steel braided oil cooler lines from RB and i can't seem to get them to seal at the fittings. I've tightened them down pretty good but don't want to over do it. Any info would be great. Thanks.

they're aluminum AN flare nuts- don't tweak on 'em too much or they WILL leak...that being said, make sure the crush washers installed under the adapters are good, and make sure the mating surfaces of the adapter & AN fitting are nice & clean...I've had these on my car for maybe three years now, and have had no probs with 'em...They're also used on aircraft with 3,000 psi hydraulic systems with no problem...

one of the leaks is on the line that goes to the front of the engine. the sealing faces and threads look perfect, but oil is coming from around the blue nut where it connects to the elbow. I don't get it. What can you tighten these down to? Oh yeah, how do you use a tourqe wrench on those nuts and not throw off the readings? Thanks.
