Leaking injector almost cought on fire.

I replaced all my injectors the other night and took it for a spin. All was good until I left for work the next morning (today). THier was a bad fuel smell. So I drove 25 miles, parked and took a look. Fuel was driping out of the primary injector really bad. Rolled it to a tire shop and borrowed a 12mm, ratchet and extension. Took the whole intake off and replaced the injectors in about 30 minutes (Thank u, thank u) Noticed that one of the injector little rubber donuts (connects fuel rail to injector) had a small break in it. That sucked. So what I did like an idiot is put the primaries in the secondaries thinking as long as I dont rev past 3800 I will be fine. DRRRRRR, Now I had a very dangerous fuel leak for rail still was pressuriezed regardless of rpm and now the fuel was spitting gas onto my exaust manifold. Ran the car for 2 minutes then rushed to turn it off. The exaust manifold was drenched and was smoking BAD. I was far from water so I just decided to stare and say ohhh shiiiit

Well it didnt catch on fire thnk god. Just wanted everyone to know how my sucky day went.

You is lucky! A mate of mine reinstalled some nicely cleaned injectors into his 12A Turbo (84 RX-7 Turbo) and without realising it pinched an o-ring. The next day, engine fire! Not pretty...

had a similiar problem, took of secondaries for a view, replaced orings/washers, replaced, tightened down good, and still leaked enough to smell, so I tightened it more to the point I thought I was going to break the bolt and that stopped it.
Sorry to hear about that!
