Question Engine suggestion

I just have a choice ofan 87 or 88 RX-7, both with blown engines. I want to replace it with a triple R. But what spec? The 13B turbo? the 20B.HELP ME PLEASE!!!

88 is slightly newer and should have slightly less problems. many 87 problems were fixed on 88's..... just go with whatever is in better overall condition. they are abou the same thing

It just depends on how much $ your willing to spend.. if your looking into a 20B i think your pretty well off for $ then

The money isn't to big of a concern. But the car will be set up as a sleeper. Body is excellent. But what engine/turbo would be a good engine to build and modify?

Going to be doing most of the work, you might be able to get away with $15,000 for a 20B conversion...

I'd recommend having at least $20,000 on hand to cover all expenses.

Can you still handle that kinda budget?
