Leaking coolant, please help.

Well my car has been leaking coolant slowly for a while now, but I finally decided to do something about it when I started it up and after warm it was really bad. It is not coming from radiator, heater coil, water pump, thermostat, or radiator hoses. So I took it to the local shop (I'm real good friends with the owner, so I know they wont screw me) and they started looking for the leak, they took my intercooler and some other stuff off, and they decided that the leak is coming from under the intake manifold, and since they dont have experience on rotaries, they suggested I take it some place that does.

SO ANYWAY. (I know I'm kinda long winded today) Has anyone had a problem with coolant leaking from somewhere around the intake manifold? (They could not see exactly where it was coming from, just that it is under the manifold) Any help is appreciated. Oh, it is a 1988 turboII
One more thing-- one day I just started it up and after it got warm it was leaking REALLY bad, but since then I have driven it around and have not even seen it drip.

I'm na but pretty much you had the problem i had, theres a hose running from under the intake manifold that has coolant flowing through it, it probably broke, repalce it and your done. my problem was the coolant never onced dripped it just baked on the motor and the motor smelled like coolant alot (sound familiar?) so i had them pressure test it and coolant poured out of that area.

could be a leaky BAC hose, a leaky coolant feed gasket/o-ring at the intake manifold or it could be a leaky turbo coolant feed line gasket. only other possibility would be a blown outer rotor housing o-ring but you don't even want to think of that right now...

if it is leaking where the intake meets the block then i would remove the LIM and reseal it, the o-rings tend to leak after a while at the 2 rotor housing coolant feed areas.

Thanks guys.
That sounds very familiar- It usually just evaporates on the engine, but a couple of times it has been dripping on the ground pretty bad. At least now I have an idea of what exactly to look for.
Thanks.

There are two hoses that come up to your TB and the two lines carry coolant. They are both very close to where your throttle cable attach. Check those two hoses. When I was rebuilding my motor, both of those hoses where too brittle to unhook, they just broke. Yours are probable just as brittle.
