Leaking Antifreeze, but where?

I have an 88 TII, and I got a coolant leak on the back side of the engie, and it looks like its behind the turbo. Im not sure where its coming from though. Turbos are new to me, and im not aware of any coolant lines that run in that area? could it be a gasket of some sort? When it leaks it leaks/squirts onto the tranny. I hope this might be able to help you guys with the problem i have so you can in turn help me out. Thanks

Jason

If it squirts onto the tranny, check for the coolant lines that goes to the TB, thats all I can think of, well maybe check the heater lines too........

Im not sure if its the same as an n/a, but there is a hose about 1 inch thick just under the oil filler cap. check that, it always gets covered in oil and breaks.

The turbo is on the passenger side right?

I would think the lower heater hose back near the fire wall would be suspect.. but then again, I am an N/A guy and I'm not sure if it's the same setup.

Ya I say the coolant hose going to the TB. Its a PITA to get to and put back on. Could have not been tight enough or just broke.

I know its not the heater hose that goes into the fire wall. I can see that very clearly and can tell ithe leak is not coming from there. I have not taken the intercooler off to see there was another coolant line under there. That may be a possibility. Any other ideas?

3 hoses run in that area:

1. Heater core hose, which you've ruled out.
2. Hose from the BAC to the TB.
3. Or the PITA 90' hose under the UIM that goes from the top of the block to the TB.

Ok, I found my leaky hose. It was the hose that went from the TB to the top of the block. It was a bitch to get off, dont know why they even bothered with hose clamps. LOL Did I read or hear somewhere, that these can be capped off?

OK, I sis some research, and I have found that there is a controversy over capping this and rerouting it. I cant seem to get the web address to work for the TB mod, so I cant see what the TB mod does and what it would matter if I rerouted this or capped it off. Any suggestions or ideas?
