Smile leak at site glass on radiator

Hi, I just got an 88 se auto na, had temp gauge occasionally starting to go up to hot. checking cooling system found slight leak at sight glass in upper radiator inlet. Anyone else ever had this? And what fix? I'm just going to epoxy it unless someone knows of a better fix.

Thanks,

I think that's the site glass for A/C.

You gonna epoxy that?

Inlet neck for upper radiator hose has a little sight glass in it. When I squeeze upper radiator hose it induces slight seepage from edge of sight glass. Probably keeps system from pulling coolant back in from overflow tank when engine cools, ie. coolant overflow tank almost overflowing when cool. Also reduced pressure in cooling system causing start of overheat problem. I'm just parking it until I get it fixed. Looking for info if anyone else has had problem.
Thanks

There is no sight glass on the stock cooling system. There is a bleed on the side of the top radiator hose connection used to remove air while filling. If that's been replaced with a sight glass, I suggest you remove it and replace it with the proper threaded bung.

Thanks for the info about the air bleeder that's supposed to be there. I'll see who has one from a parts car.
