Leak around brake master cylinder

Leak around brake master cylinder
Right on top where you fill up your dot 3 brake fluid , that resivor is attached to the master I think. Right were it atches is were I have a slight leak. The fluid goes from the max to min in a few days. Can somone tell me what I need to replace? The plastic piece or some rubber boot thing mabey.

Depending on how old your car is, you might as well replace it. I'm pretty sure that if you're leaking brake fluid from the master, the only thing you can do is replace or rebuild it. Its a really easy job to do.

Im sure its easy but I dont know were to start. Can u help a little. Its not a rebuild. Theirs no cracks. Just that connection were the plastic meets the cylinder.

Although I haven't personally tried to replace them, the shop manual shows two bushings between the reservoir and the metal assembly that should be able to be replaced, instead of replacing the whole brake master cyl assembly.
Of course if you have cracks in the plastic replacing the bushings would make little difference.
