leak from ac

i have a 88 se. whenever i turn my ac on, i get a puddle on the passenger side floormat. any ideas?

Water? It's possible that the condensation drain got pulled inside the car, it should dump out through a hole near the tranny on the passanger side.

That sound like it. If you look by the passenger's feet you'll see the black box containing the evaporator, which is angled on the bottom to drain condensate to the hose. Check the hose hasn't popped off.
