For the last time... Direct me t a sunroof write up, or I'll make a new one!

Yes, it seems like the biggest write up thus far for me is coming up: The sunroof rebuild. I can't really find something satisfying with pictures and full blown examples. I need to see if there is one actually out there before diving in blind, and I want some advice on parts of what to get. My payment will be a very clear write up... with pictures of every step.

Here's what I got so far:

A sunroof assembly that I will be using
Graphite lubricant
WD-40
3 in 1 Oil
JB Weld Glue
Weatherstrip glue
Super 90 Glue
New Sunroof Motor
Mazdatrix Weatherseal

What should/shouldn't I use?

Should I buy copper tubing or just reuse the old stuff?

Any tips?

If you can find the guide tubes off a good, used units, go that route.&nbsp The copper tubing is a last option, since it'll require a tube benders for the right diameter to bend without kinking.

Be sure to open your sunroof (if you can) and remove the air deflector (or else you'll break the end links when you dissemble the assembly).

Hm, mine didn't come with an air defelctor, like most FCs didn't. I'll try to reuse as many parts as I can. Any last suggestions?

If you do it, let me know if how it turns out. I'm thinking its not worth all the hassle. I got my sunroof assembly for $70. Only took me an afternoon to do and most of that was removing and putting back in the interior pieces. Good luck.

even though my sunroof works, i never use it. a write up with pics on how to take it out would be good. Id like to take mine out and replace it with a non opening CF insert, then i would make a thiner head liner so my helmet wont hit the roof.

I prefer synthetic stuff (i.e. Redline CV-2), but any off-the-shelf lithum or molydneum stuff should work.
