Angry Last Resort!

my 1989 GTU wont start! i just conquered my idling problem and now it wont start! It's cranking over but not making the noise it should - it sounds really weird. I just put in a new starter and the car is getting spark and gas. Anyone know what the problem could be? ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFULL! Thank-you in advance.

what do you mean when you say sounds really wierd? Like gravel in the motor? Like it's spinning really fast and there's no compression? Like the Starship Enterprise? What?

you car could be flooded. do you know how to unflood it?

under the hood, but the fuel pump fuse. i think its labled egi. then crank the car over for 10sec, and let it rest for 30sec. then repteat the process 5 times. so that you have cranked the car 5 times for 10-15 sec. then install the fuse and try to start the car. it should start right up if it was flooded. if it almost starts, then repeate the process untill you get it started
