You can buy them anywhere.. I got mine on EBay. 1156 and 1157 for the blinkers/reverse/tails. and I forget the number for the marker lights.. 121 maybe? I had a list all made up, but I tossed it..

They turn on faster, but as far as brighness, I think its pretty comparable.

I have yet to find any LED 1156 or 1157 replacement that throws even half the light of the standard incandescent.

They are great for bullseye lighting, but very very very poor at filling out the whole lens with light like an incandescent does.

its a 194 for the sidemarkers, but a 121 is almost identical to the 194's. Most auto parts stores sell them for around $8 or so for 1156/7's and about $5 for the 194's.

Well, I dont know what your experience has been, but the ones I have installed are pretty comparable to the stock lighting.

I have tried probably 6 different brands of LED lighting and not one has even filled half the light with light (even the last one I tried with 24 LEDs in it).

They are very bright for about a 1" dia circle in the middle of the lens, but don't light up any of the sides at all.

If yours are good, post pictures

This red one in this picture is exactly what I am talking about:

Square light, with lame 1" brightspot and none of the rest of the lens lit.

An FC with four bright red dots on the back is going to look like ***. Don't do it...

Drop-in replacement LED bulbs are a waste of money. The stock housings are designed to reflect the multi-directional light from incandescent bulbs, which makes the light output brigher and more diffused than the directional light from a drop-in LED bulb small enough to fit into the housing. LED lighting only works if the housing is designed from scratch for it or properly modified to incorperate it. LED's that are of sufficient brightness are also very expensive in the quantities necessary for safe automotive lighting.

J-Rat, post some pics with your LED bulbs on one side and incandescent bulbs on the other.

lmao. I was thinking,

"Nzconvertible has NEVER accepted any mods for the seven. He loves stock. I guarentee that even though there is nothing wrong with this upgrade, he will have something negative to say about it!"

I was right, however, he makes a valid point, it does sorta look like ***. Nz, why in the hell do you always have to be right?

Yea I don't think bright lights for the back of an FC would look good.

I love brighter lights for the front but I don't think they look that good on the tail of an FC. But I've never seen them in person

R32 Tail Lights

Take a look! Try something like this! Sorry about the pic quality! Let me know what you think and if youre interested. A good amount of work is involved though! But LED's are also pretty bright!

go to www.superbrightleds.com they have great deals on LEDs

Icemark you need to get your LEDs the same color as the outside of the booth...(stop lights need red LEDs for a brighter looks )...if you use regular white ones, they would only look good/ bright inside of the car. Or if you have clear front blinkers it would work fine.
Keep in mind when you get LED you need Load Resistor kit as well, that way your blinkers don't go fast ( you'll need it for each LED on your car )...this is so your computer in your car recognizes them as not blown bulbs.

And LEDs last longer than regular bulbs and they use less electricity....

No way, I love mods! I just hate crap mods... Besides, if I hated mods why would i spend so much time discussing them? And why would I be modifying my car?!

LED brake lights are a great idea for safety reasons. I have seriously considered an LED high-stop light, and even bought some of the bits I need. I stopped when I realised I hadn't spent enough to ensure an upgrade in lighting performance as opposed to a change just for the hell of it like many seem to do. If/when I have another go at it it certainly won't be some half-assed drop-in conversion. As for the rest of the brake lights, they would require a lot more work and cost, and it's just not worth it to do it right.

Look at the stuff on www.clearcorners.com for the right way to do it. High quality, high performance, and truely obscene prices! Good product? Yep. Worth it? Hell no...

They are stock 2-door R32 taillights. They might have had LED's put in them, but they are externally unmodified.
