well its just that key work that turns me away every time, and makes me think you get what you pay for....EBAY!!!

 

um.......ok most of the stuff I get are new and from actual businesses. Sorry you feel that way.

So nobody else wants to post up their settings? From what it sounds like 4/6 F/R seems to be the way to go for good handling and decent comfort on the street. Anybody with track or AutoX settings want to clue us in??

 

I have the GC coilovers and I run 4/8. I don't really care about ride comfort, though.

 

i use 2 and 6. i havent played with it a whole lot tho, but i dont ever get understeer, and the rear end doesnt come around unless i want it to

 

Not everything is junk on ebay. The people who sale KYBs on Ebay really don't have much over head, they can afford to sell them at near cost to move volumes of stock. You will be just fine buying KYBs off ebay. Ebay right now seem the be the place for Fidanza products also. I bought a set of cam gears for my Miata off there. It was the cheapest place I could find.

Ebay is one of those hit or miss places. You really have to do your research before buying from there.

 

Def so.. I would check into a few ebay stores. i bought mine from the same seller as the person mentioned above. I have bought audio, wheels, tires, suspension, exhausts, etc... from ebay. Only a few individual sellers but with emails and research ive always had smooth transactions.

 

It also depends on your springs and rates.
(Try setting 4F 6R using 9K or 8K springs. see what happens on the street and you tell me you don't care abut the ride comfort.-- B.S.!)

My Settings: Daily Driver
2F 5R

Tried 1F 3R: I almost puked like seasick.
Tried 3F 6R: Too hard for the roads that I take.

I can dig 3F 5R, but 2F 5R is fine for my daily driving.

Play with it. Depends on how you like it. We Can't tell you what settings for you.

I got mine from JDMWERKS as well.

For both the shocks/struts, and Eiback pro-kit Springs I paid 450 total... all e-bay, all brand new.

worth every penny.

I run 2/4 right now... it's good and comfortable, while still handles when needed... although not as well as when I stiffen it...

 

Yeah i second that. I bought my KYBS from JDMWerks on ebay and it came with no instructions what so ever. I was wondering about the #'s too. But i figured the higher the number the more stiff. I guess my assumption was right.

I have yet to install them. Soon though.

ok guys tried the 4 setting on the front whoa too bouncy, so im guessing the higher the number is the softer the ride is. Went back to 3 even though 2 was nice. Havent played with the rears yet but whatever number its on sees to be ok back there. Kinda sux that the dials are on the inside(rear) which means I have to jack the car up every time I wanna change the setting.

 

THe higher number is the stiffer setting.

Just bumped my rears to 5 and Im happy!!!!

 

Yeah, the higher the number the stiffer the setting. What do you mean by bouncy? Like a Cadillac/boat feeling or like stiff and rattles your teeth due to bumps in the road?

 

You suck man.
You don't need to jack up the car to adjust the rears. It's actually better than way instead of removing those speakers/covers/etc.

and 4 is the stiffest for FRONT and 8 is the stiffest for REAR.

Put 1 Front (for left and right front struts) and 1 (for left and right rear struts)
You'll feel like you're on a boat. Why??Because they're too soft. . . .

5R (left & right) 2F (left & right) is not bad for daily use.

What springs are you using?

 

He uses the Tanabe GF210's. Signatures are a great thing. J/K

 

Hey waht setting do you guys think i should use for NYC. We have a lot o pothole and 80% of the streets are not smooth. I will be putting on the KYB AGX's this weekend along with progressive eibach springs. I went with eibachs cuase theyll be nice and soft during normal driving but will get stiffer for spirited driving. Plus im not racing my 7 its my lil baby gurl

Um..... actually I do need to jack up the car to get to the dials on the rear. Car is too low to get a hand in there. Its was bouncy like a cadillac at 4 in the front that is. I dropped it back down its fine now.

 

caddy's aren't bouncy the way #4 setting is bouncy. i'm running stock springs with 1F/2R. even setting 2 starts to feel too stiff for the front. i set the rear a bit higher for the heck of it. havne't messed with them in the last two years i've had them on.

 

I run 3 on front and 6 on rear with RSR Race springs as of now. I like it, and i daily drive my FC on LA.
