Kyb Agx

OK............so my cars lowered now, the setup im running for springs are the Tanabe gf210's and of course the KYB AGX's. Anywho, I know how to adjust them but do I set them on a higher number for stiffness or lower number. If anyone know then it would be much appreciated?

you do realize

that in the ammount of time it took you to write your new suspension setup in your sig. you could have read the manual and got the answer.

BoostedRex 04-20-06 06:51 PM

Not if he bought them used like myself and a TON of other people do.

kungfuroy 04-20-06 07:00 PM

I bought mine brand new and I dont think the directions it came with were quite clear but I do have a bad habit of just glacing over directions.

Turbo II 04-20-06 07:12 PM

You have to push the dial in with a little screwdrive on the front ones, rear have the knob dials. I have the same setup as you have, I play with my settings all the time, much fun.

jgrts20 04-20-06 08:18 PM

bought them from jdmwerks off ebay brand new and didnt come with installation instructions. Paid my shop to do the labor $400 worth along with all the bushings installed to. Ive had this setup since Feb. but just barely got them put on. Pics will be caming this weekend. thanx guys/gals

Usually 3 up front, 6 in the back using stock springs.
Any stiffer is too bone shattering on these LA streets I drive on. I can drive 4 up front, but its too much feedback especially when I just get out of work and want to relax. I usually only put the fronts on 4 when I have the girl in the car just becuase she'd rather have me pick her up in the truck and I am mean like that :P
When I first installed them, I initially set the rears to 6 and loved how it felt during work driving and spirited driving so I rarely change the rears.

Turbo II 04-21-06 11:36 AM

I run Tanabe GF springs, started with the AGX on 2/4 which rode very well for most driving. Went to Deals Gap and changed after the first run to 3/4, then 3/6 then 4/6. If I had had more time I would have set the rears to 8 to see what it was like. I've got them at 3/6 now for everyday driving, can still be a little rough/bouncy/touchy-feely (what's a good word for it?) for some roads and concrete highways but I like the feel.

jgrts20 04-21-06 03:06 PM

thanx guys, anyone else running AGX's with aftermarket springs? I will try 4/6 see how that goes. THis is good need more feedback.

Russ-R 04-21-06 10:19 PM

i have eibach springs. The bounciness is not really noticable. Just handles great.

mycarisolderthanme 04-21-06 10:24 PM

I had GC coils and springs and 3/6 was grand.

-Ryan- 04-21-06 11:19 PM

I havnt had time to put the fronts on, but needed to work on the rear so I isntalled the rear shocks. they are on 8 but a bit rough... oh well. Their a great conversation piece for the ladies lmao

2/5....way too many bumps in AZ streets to ride on it stiffer all the time.

RX drift 04-22-06 08:45 AM

Hey, a little off topic but, I was looking into getting a set of these and mazdatrix(whom i already deal with) sells the whole set for 611.00, but cork sport sells them for 520.00(whom I have never dealt with). So I was wondering if cork sport was a good reliable place, just wondering cause of the large gap in price, and I should go ahead and get them from there or what.

kungfuroy 04-22-06 11:05 AM

try summitracing, thats where i got mine, i think they were a few bucks cheaper( bigger company) and shippign was free

JMY952 04-22-06 11:43 AM

Save yourself some cash and purchase the shocks from jdmwerks13! $350.00 for all four shocks.

KYB AGX SHOCKS MAZDA RX7 RX 7 86 - 92 BEST PRICE

jgrts20 04-22-06 02:26 PM

13b4me 04-22-06 02:36 PM

I have mine set on 3/5, and once the car sees a track, they'll be dialed into the track setting... Screw comfort... lol

RX drift 04-22-06 04:07 PM

DAMN summit for 419.00 now thats a deal!!!

daten 04-22-06 04:38 PM

Yes, summit has "free shipping" and a $9.50 handling fee on every order.

I think I've had five orders with summit this month, that handling fee is starting to add up. I also got my KYB AGXs from summit.
