The RB springs are slightly stiffer in front and are softer in the rear than the ST product. Yes, they are both linear.

If I remember correctly there was a chart in the Mazdatrix catalog when I had my N/A about 4 years ago and it rated the RB springs at 130 front and 80 rear (I think that was for their system of measuring - lbs per inch compression; not sure if it reflected actual compression rate)
The ST springs were rated 120 front and 120 rear.

Just keep in mind I'm doing this from memory...

As for the comment about the Intrax springs - I had those too and they were good above 70mph; anything below that the car was just not well-behaved - REALLY stiff . would get the skippies easily in bumpy corners. May as well have been driving a domestic...

Intrax wha??/

I'd like to see a picture of your friend's intrax setup. Man 1.75 in is really low for a rx7. I'm thinking 1 or 1.25 is max, but thats just me. Anyone have pics of Intrax on a FC??? Post if you would.

Fedrex, what springs are you using.... that are 375/250 lbs??

Intrax FC here..

I dont know what you guys are talking about. I have the race INTRAX springs and my friend with a 944Turbo loved it when he drove my car thru mountain slaloms. I myself love my springs. FYI 944Turbo is one of the best handling PORSCHE made!..

Here is a picture of my 87TII with Intrax race springs.

BTW im using stock shocks with 17" rims.

ERS (Eibach Race Series) They are part of my Ground Control coilover pkg. Nice thing about GC is you can order whatever spring rate you prefer and you can select different lengths as well.

Would you recomend them for use with Suspension Tech. "7/8 drop?

They are 4 way adj in front and 8 way adj in rear. I ran across a good deal on them and I just wanted some imput on them. Thanks, Chris
I have them with the ST springs, and they are great. No problems what-so-ever.

springs

here's my input. i have had tokico illuminas for around 4 years with eibach progressive rates. i am assuming that progressive springs are the ones with a different spring wind on top than on bottom. linears being one single rate. i love this setup!!! my shocks are as good today as the day i put them on the car. the progressive rate springs are good cause i dont get all the ride harshness of a linear rate spring yet they definately get stiffer as i dive further into a turn. with all shocks set on 1 the car has a better straight line ride than with the factory springs and shocks.

I also have energy suspension bushings and sway bars from an 89 gtu. the polyurethane bushings are one of the best things I ever did to the car and I encourageeeeeeeeeee anyone wanting to do a complete suspension upgrade to do the bushings, because what good are springs and shocks if they aren't forced to work in proper alignment?

I love my 7!!!!!!!!!!!
