koyo rad problem

looked at my top air bleeder valve and it was leaking, went to tighten it, and the front peice u see came off, then there was a rubber washer, then the actual plastic screw that alows air in and out. My question is what is the first peice with the phillips head insert for? Its not threaded into anything, and it wont stay back in cause it doesnt connect to anything. Im scared it is something important.

I've no idea what your talking about. I bought a Koyo a couple of months ago. There is on the right top side a black plastic bleed screw. It has a phillips head. Righty tighty, lefty lucy. What you describe is somewhat different.

right side as if u were facing from the rear. Its the bleeder screw, but when i went to tighten it, it came lookse, and it wasnt threaded in. Behind that was the rubber washer and the acutal screw.

You broke it, just like I broke mine. Anyone know where we can get replacements?

I'm not quite sure I'm following. On mine, the head of the plastic screw broke off when I was tightening it down. The head is supposed to press the rubber gasket against the radiator and that's what seals it. The rest of my screw is still in the radiator and it barely leaks, but there is nothing holding the rubber gasket down now.

i figured it pushed the rubber washer down to seal, behind the peice that broke was another screw head, so i tightned that and it doesnt leak anymore
