Koyo bracket problems

ok so i got my koyo radiator in that i ordered from raceing beat but when i try'd to install it i came to find that my stock brackets dont fit the radiator the holes for the screws that connect the radiator to the brackets themselves are about two and a half to 3 inches to short. i was wondering if anyone else has had anything like this happen to them and if you where would i go to order so brackets that would fit properly.

If you think it might be the wrong product, there should be some part number or serial number on the rad. Give Racing Beat a call and see if the numbers match. Racing Beat's site lists R0181 for S4 and R1144 for the S5, but I dont know if those are the actual Koyo part numbers. Hope that helps.

i ordered my koyo from them, the stock brackets were not a perfect fit. I had to redrill new holes in the bracket and then install them. you can use the the stock brackets just fine just involves minor modification

The mounting tabs/brackets do not line up on the Fluidyne either.
Find a shop that has someone who can weld aluminum and have them weld on some tabs in the correct location. It won't cost but a few bucks and it will be securely mounted.

It's the difference between the OEM brackets on s5 and s4 radiator. You just got fucked out of your OEM s4 brackets when the previous owners replaced the OE radiator.

I remember hearing something about 2 different Koyos, one being a drop in and one the brackets not fitting.

the one that dont fit was cheaper and seems to be the one people were selling not realizing the difference.
Supposidly one was a race version and one a street version.

It's a '91, so an S5, and it's the crossflow, or U-flow, sometimes called N-flow, it's more expensive and newer than the standard Koyo.
