well last i checked, most inanimate objects aren't very good at basketball, so i don't think you'll find a ballin' tranny anywhere. unless you mean tranny as in...

oh i forgot the '74 celtics. the all inanimate objects team. Sony "Now with color!" TV made some amazing dunks late into 3rd quarter of game 3. now that was a team.

and to answer your question, i don't really know. if it was me, i'd prolly just buy a junk one and spend the next month rebuilding it. i know you can buy a new one from like... hks i think.

i'll be rebuilding one for a forum member this coming week i may do a documentary for you guys but that depends on my schedule and how pressed for time i am while doing it.
if you are interested it would be around ~$1k to do an overhaul but that may change depending on what kind of gremlins i find in these trannies...
an n/a tranny would be about $100 or so cheaper to overhaul as the T2 synchros run about $230!

well unless you want to know how to open up and play with a british 4-speed or lawnmowers- i'm not the guy to ask. i plan on rebuilding my TII tranny when i get mine but that probably won't be for a while. but i'll be sure to take pics and do a write up for you then .

yes, very. i just don't understand how they can have wheels in an internal combustion engine, but other than that, it's quite sexy and i can only imagine what kinda specs one would put out.
