well last i checked, most inanimate objects aren't very good at basketball, so i don't think you'll find a ballin' tranny anywhere. unless you mean tranny as in...

i'll be rebuilding one for a forum member this coming week i may do a documentary for you guys but that depends on my schedule and how pressed for time i am while doing it.

if you are interested it would be around ~$1k to do an overhaul but that may change depending on what kind of gremlins i find in these trannies...

an n/a tranny would be about $100 or so cheaper to overhaul as the T2 synchros run about $230!

What the hell have you been doing to it!? My N/A tranny has almost 160k on it and is still doing fine! 7k rpm clutch drops at the dragstrip, 7500-7800 rpm shifts, beating on it, etc.

yes, very. i just don't understand how they can have wheels in an internal combustion engine, but other than that, it's quite sexy and i can only imagine what kinda specs one would put out.

Why not simply find a reputable tranny shop in your area that has experience with custom cars?

I have one rebuilt by a shop in arizona, cost like $1500 but they did everything. Its never been ran and is still clean and in perfect shape. Went into a TII conversion that never ran.
