KNow-it-alls welcome! Sleepy headlights..?

I know u can adjust the angle of the FC popups with the ***** underneath the bumper.. but when i turn the ****, it starts to drop a little bit, then the motor kicks in and totally puts the light all the way down and back up.. is there any way to disable that so i can freely adjust them? That'd be excellent if anybody had advice..
THANKS!

PS.. I'm perfectly aware that some people think the sleepys look broken/ugly but im not one of those people and i like my car to be unique looking and most people dont have that, just wanted to get that out of the way to avoid people saying "dont do it! its ugly!"

I beleive that your assumption that very few have done this is wrong. Go over to teamfc3s and you will see a lot of this kind of mods. Really its harmful for visibility man. Just take that into consideration. And also some places have laws about headlamp hieght.

So you're going to adjust them every night before you drive or what? Not a flame, just inquiring.

i just wanted to figure out how to do it for now, i think i can buy a pivot controller, i dont drive my 7 all that much, i have other cars to drive, and im not going to drive it at night anyways cuz my air is broken and my window wont roll up so i dont have to worry about that right now anyways.. , it stays in the garage.
edit* and yes if i do drive it at night, ill take 30 seconds to put my headlights back up

OK, got it

Wasn't sure if there was a way to install a switch to go from all open to sleepy or what.

i did this on my 91NA... except that i didnt pull the fuse, i just disconnected the motor.... not a week later, some lady cut me off on the northway and put me into the guardrail (she never touched me but i hit hte brakes, and it put me into a spin bc my abs was out) she said that she couldnt see my headlights and got out of having to pay.... go with the controller, that way you can have them at full visibility for driving, but still have the phat look when you want it.

sleepy lights are much easier todo than all that **** BS. i can change mine to have sleepies in 10 seconds, then change it right back in 3 seconds. all you have to do is pull the fuse on the drivers side of the car (the outermost one) and turn your lights on from inside. then, put the fuse in a little and take it out as soon as the circuit is closed, the headlights will move up, and when you take the fuze out, it will stay slightly up. it takes some practice to get them where you want in one try but its freakin easy.

can you not put a switch before the fuse and put the switch in the car

when you turn the lights on you flick the switch to cut the power - you now have sleeply lights , when its dark , flick the switch back on and the lights will function as normal

its a simple way to not mess around with the fuse more than once and you can do it all from in the car !

i assume you will need a good switch as it probably will have a lot of amps running thru it !

its only a thought !!
