So I bought my FC a few months back and the previous owner had sleepy eyes on it.I didnt think much of it either way but when I drove it at night it was a pain in the ***.I searched and found out about the fuse and how the sleepy eyes are usually set.When I looked at the fuse box and to my suprise the fuse was still in.I pulled it set them all the way down and put it back in thinking maybe it might work.They went back to the sleepy/broken look.The car doesnt have a pivot controller so I was wondering if any of you knew how I might get the lights to go back to normal.Sorry if this is a dumb question but I need to be able to see at night.

Is the fuse blown underneath the hood?

What do you mean by pivot controller?

There are 2 ***** one that controls the lights up and down, and the other one turns on the lights as well as up and down...

the fuse works fine.By pivot controller im mean the things you buy on ebay that make it so you can adjust your headlights with a little **** in your car(or something like that).I know where the ***** are under the bumper I tried to manually set the lights back but when I put the fuse in the just re-set themselves.Are you talking about the ***** in the car?I know where those are.

 

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like the previous owner changed the arms to only allow them to go half up.

 

well I am able to manually move them all the way open with the fuse out.The problem is when I put the fuse in and the go back to half way open

 

Then there is a controller in the car making them do that. Thats the only logical reason I can come up with. Your gonna have to find it.

there must be some kind of switch or something that tells the lights when they are open, maybe he jacked with that

 

what about the motor of the lights?

 

hell yea they look good when you're parked...personally i leave mine sleepy when im driving too...i made my one headlight controller though so when it gets dark with the flick of a switch they go all the way open so i dont have any light issues with em

I was thinking about that.I thought I saw somewhere that you could adjust them instead of pulling the fuse.Anyone heard of how to do this?Or more importantly undo this.

 

1. Buy two headlight motors from the classifieds

2. Replace the ones in there that have been tampered with (it's like a couple 10mm bolts and a plug)

3. Profit

 

how not much light? i set mine up so when i hit the switch the lights open all the way so its no different than stock...
