kinda new to forum..

hello my name is antonio and i just bought my rx-7 for 600 us dollars about a month ago. so i decided to post up in the general thread to introduce myself properly and ask some questions.

ok so i own a '87 fc with a n/a engine and has about 173k miles on it. im about to get it smogged and registered so i would like to know anything and i mean anything and everything to know on how to take care of my rotary. I know what the 60k tune up is and im in the process of doing it, but i would like some more info on decarboning my engine and i've also read about adding premix into my car. how would i go about doing both or either?? and is it any good?

To get rid of carbon you can use seafoam in the gas tank or seach for the water trick. You can also use seafoam or carb cleaner when doing the water trick. Redlining the engine under load every now and then will help clear your carbon.

If you have a properly functioning OMP you do not need to premix.

I have tried seafoam and it worked really well for me. Gas and Spray. water trick is the most cheapest way though. i have never tried it but i have read a lot of good stuff about it.

good luck on your new 7. check cats do tune up etc. if you use the Search function on this forum you will find it really helpful all the answers you need.
