Cool This was kinda freaky.

Alright I am comming back from my g/f's house and it is a little wet on the road so I am letting the rear end loose on purpose to see if I can spin the car(did not) but right when I turn on the road that takes me to the town I live in 12-15miles away I floor it as I usually do because my philosophy is to redline at least once a day so I gun the motha and I shift and redline again and shift to 5th but then I notice it is kinda bright in the cabin the gauges are really bright I mean really bright. I look at my battery voltage and it is all the way to the top barely past the 18v mark but after a while it goes back down to a little above twelve but it is now below twelve did my alt just fudge up or what?

The voltage regulator is built into the alternator. Sounds like it has failed. Replace the alt asap. You don't want to cook the ECU or other electronic goodies in your 7 or you are going to have massive, expensive headache ahead of you...
