kind of annoying problem

hi, i own a 1990 TII and ive been having a problem that i dont like. i start the car and is fine but when i rev pass 3000 rpms it starts to idle(but when i step on it there isn't any problem at all), i have change the spark plugs and it's still doing it, i dont't know if this is normal but i think not, this problem didn't happen before but right from nowhere bang!!! it happen, my uncle check it and he says that its an electrical problem(i think he know what hes saying cause he has had one 1st gen 12a and a datsun with a gsl-se engine. he did a 12.7 at the drag with the 12a n/a pretty fast for a n/a) . when i rev the engine the interior lights of the car start going crazy. i have check all that i can but didn't find anything. and at the first time it happen i thought the engine had go but did a compression test and it was fine, the front rotor have a 110 compression and the rear one a 100. not bad i think. please help me here.

thanks

So then its like its hitting fuel cut. Are you sure its not at 3800 rpm? That would be a much more likely thing to happen. Either way you arent getting enough fuel. As said bad grounds could be a cause.

is this free revving or when your moving? reset the throttle position sensor (TPS) like the manual explains... a bad reading can cause what you explained free revving and has done the same on my car

it does it when its free revving but also when moving, only time it doesn't do it is when i floor it. i think the fuel is not the problem cause i have a safc.
