Kicks at 5500

I've got a 89 NA and when I accelerate at half throttle, at5500 Rpm it kicks like a nos shot, not as strong as nos, but the same feeling. But when I accel at full throttle I can't feel it. Is this normal?

VDI kicks in at 5800, something to do with that I'd imagine. I own an S4 though, so I couldn't say.

er, anyways i don't really see a problem being posted here??

VDI kicks in at 5500 RPM. You can usually feel a surge of power at that RPM. OMG VTEC NOS BBQ!!!1!

I have an 89 GTU with street porting and I get the same power boost in that RPM range. Feels sooooo goooooood! I can still tell when it kicks in at full throttle as well, just isn't the same power differential.

its the vdi. you probobly notice it more at part throtle because the rpm's arent increasing as quickly, so it opens relatively sooner after 5500 rpm.

enjoy, its one fo the best parts of an s5 n/a
