Found these on Autometers site. Pretty interesting. They have a working pressure of 2900lbs and a burst pressure of 8800lbs. They use 4an fittings.

Seems to me like those wouldn't be a bad idea, although I have no experience in the matter. I'm gonna need to replace mine soon apparently...I've sprung a slight leak, lol

BTW, I just checked prices according to Summit Racing's site, $44.99 for the 18" hose, and $55.99 for the 36" hose. Not a bad price. Sounds like a worthy alternative worth checking out. Im going to call them (autometer) tomorrow and see if they think they would be suitable for oil cooler lines.

Anyone see any possible downsides?

Check the size of a 4AN connector. The oil cooler lines will need to be 8 or 10 AN. It would be my guess that those lines would be more suited for an oil pressure gauge.

Its simple, the AN system is based on 16ths. -8 hose is 1/2" ; -16 hose is 1" ; -10 hose is 5/8"

I think they would be awsome. I have been using kevlar brake lines on my sport bike for the past year, and I love them.
