To keep or Not to keep

I have a 1989 Rx7 Vert. Theres about 140,xxx on the engine. I just purchased the car about a month ago. Im having a really hard time figuring out if i want to keep the car and drop the 13B TT, or if i should just buy another car. Opinions??

P.S- Im just scared to build up the FC because its a vert. Id hate to come outside one day and that baby is missing

What's wrong with the engine it has in it now? Dropping the turbo engine in will probably be more work than you are looking for.

P.S. You don't have to worry about me taking it. I much prefer Turbo II's

The regular engine is slow. The tt engine comes with the ECU, wire harness, tranny, ect. Or is there something else i will have to buy?

But ill take your response as a vote for Buying a new car haha

You dont know what you are talking about.. The "TT" engine doesn't just BOLT UP... You are in over your head.

Sell it to someone who knows what to do to it...

The TT stands for TWIN TURBO.. (FD or cosmo engine) Good luck getting that to run for under 5k... You Have to use standalone.... custom mounts...... research before making yourself look dumb.

Sell it.

First off my uncle owns a shop. Im just buying the parts, not installing. And i know about mounts and what not, idiot. Thats common knowledge thats why i didnt feel it was important enough to post

Second, is that your daughter in that pic? It looks like you sprinkle coke on her corn flakes. And if it isnt your daughter, your life is still worthless...

I just came to ask a simple question and you act like your god of mazda... Go somewhere

ok... if you know a guy that is going to do it then good luck.... research the swap...

not just ANYONE can get an FD powered FC to run....

Yes that is my daughter, she is awesome. I am not sure what your comment means... i guess i am an idiot..

You asked for an opinion, i told you mine. i have been dicking around with rx-7's for 12 years, i have owned almost 20, and have done more motor swaps then i can count... The 13btt swap out of a FD is a HUGE project that reaps results (HP WISE) that could be obtained by the easy S5 T2 swap into your car with power mods...\

If your real question is "should I swap in a FD motor or sell" then I say "YOU SHOULD SELL"

Don't talk about my kids... You "go somewhere"...

So which motor are you talking about? The 86-91 13BT or the 93 and up 13BREW?
