Hi Christina, and welcome to the board!

I hope you find it as addictive as I have.
Two important things to know about your car (one was mentioned earlier)
1. Do not rev car over 3000rpm until you've (err, your car) reached full operating temperature.
2. Rotary engines use more oil than piston engines so be sure and check your oil level every 3 to 7 days (depending on how much you drive). This is normal, as rotaries inject oil for seal lubrication when you start the car.

Have any plans for your ride?

Talking Welcome!

Hi Christina and welcome to the forum. This forum is the best resource you are goning to have to keep that awesome car of yours running. Not only that you get to meet some awesome people and make a couple of friends. So it's a win win situation. A couple of things I gotta warn you about though since your new. Be very aware of getting a bug or virus called Wankleitus. It's a pretty serious condition. The problem with it is it makes you totally crazy about your car. You begin loving it way too much. You drem about it, think about it, and you like being in you car all the time. The only way you feel better is by driving it all the time. You will also have these crazy urges to spend lots & lots of money on your car. Another side-affect is the addiction to the forum. I promise you after a month or so you will be on this forum all the time. Really you will wake up and the first thought that will enter your mind is gotta go check and see what's going on in the forum. All these guys will worship you and kiss the ground you walk on because you own a Rx7. Well I though I would give you the inside scoup just in case. So don't say I didn't warn ya because these are going to help you have the most fun you ever had. I know because this all happenned to me! Except for the guys kissing the ground stuff. Thank god for that!

Anyways enough joking around now becuase I know Henry feels left out. Since I know nobody did this to me when I first signed I'm gonna do my man Henry a favor and say "Welcome to the forum Henry! I mean Henrietta!"

See ya around Christina. Take care!

Im new here and i recently purchased a 90 rx7. I was told to go here if i wanted to know about anything that has to do with rx7s. The man i bought it from said its a FC? Im not sure what that means. I also just recently went to my first car show. Hot Import Nights was a blast! I saw some really nice looking rx7s out there and i was thinking about doing some modifications myself. My father is a mechanic so i know a little about maintaining a car. I hope you guys can help me out. Is there any other girls on here? Anyway, just wanted to say "HI!"

Welcome to the forum! I normally don't respond to "a girl posted, so every guy on the forum must post a response in the hope of getting some action" posts, but I just had to reply to this one. The reason is that my best friend is named Christina, and I of course own an FC. So it's just this big coincidence thing. Oh, and really, I have nothing better to do right now. I'm at a customer's office, at 5:51PM on a Sunday night cleaning the Magistr virus from 25 machines. I really have nothing better to do than drink beer and post on the forum....anyway....

As you have no doubt been told, FC refers to the 86-92 RX-7. The 79-83s are SAs, the 84-85s are FBs, and the 93-present are FDs.

There are a few other girls on the forum, and you will probably find them posting in the Lounge. Be aware that if you post in the Lounge and reveal yourself as female, there will be a flood of smart *** comments made by desperate pathetic guys thinking with the wrong head. But don't let that scare you off. Just ignore them, and sooner or later some useful info will be posted.

Wink Welcome

Great choice!!

I am on my 3rd RX-7, I started with a 79 then bought a 88 convertible and now I have a 90 convertible.
Now with the RX-8 (coming 2003) I know they live on forever. Enjoy your car and post any questions you have, I'm sure everyone here will help you out.
