Exclamation Just rebuilt car only started once and I can't get it to start again.

I just rebuilt the motor, all the parts are on minus the 5th and 6th port sleeves. I have fuel and an spark. The spark plugs are not new, but I figured they should get the car started anyway. Using starter fluid we got it to run for a bit but after that it wouldn't start. I checked my vacuum lines I de-flooded the engine, set the timing, reset the timing again, then reset the timing again, no start. checked fuel, thats good, de-flooded the engine again what could this be?

Big Vac Leak?
Did you test compression, I know it's a fresh rebuild, but it should have some compression.

Sprak plugs are right, are you SURE the timing is right? I.E. Searched a found a thread with a picture of what the CAS should look like when the notch is lined up with the mark?
