Just rebuilt, car keeps flooding

Okay so I just had the engine on my 87 turboII rebuilt.

The car has
Walbro 255
3in exhaust no cats
Streetport
4 550 cc injectors cleaned and flow tested
Omp block off now premixing
New NGK plugs and plug wires.

Anyways, the car keeps flooding. I have a fuel pump cut off switch but it only gets the car started occasionally. Like it's only been started twice in a week. Pulled the plugs and they smell like gas... Is this injectors?

I've searched and I can't seem to find a solid answer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

New motors are flood prone until they break in, common knowledge. Who built the motor? Maybe they didn't go very tight on the side seal clearances.

Also don't you dare boost that motor with those injectors after its broken in.

Andy at racefab in abq new Mexico. He's got a couple of rotary cars over there and I'm confident with the build. And injectors are in the works once I can get my hands on a computer. I've got a wideband so if it does run, I'll watch and make sure I don't lean out

is the car in vegas or NM? i think i remember something you posted about this car a little while back but not going to dig for it.

you can try the pin 3C trick since new engine and walbro = flood prone.

ah ok, honestly didn't know there was another vegas. heh

just pull pin 3C from the ECU connector, then the car will not be using the predetermined amount of fuel during cranking and may start more reliably.

Are the plugs visibly wet?

thanks for clarifying, i could have sworn it was 3C but just was going off memory of reading what other people have done for flooding issue fixes.

Not really, they just have the smell. And if you swap different plugs, the car will start until you turn it off. then it floods and the plugs smell like gas again.

so swap the plugs, and let it idle for an hour. then go drive it around the block a few times. let the engine break in a bit before turning it off

sounds like faulty injector wiring or extremely retarded ignition timing.
