Just ordered all the seals for the rebuild

Well,

I ordered all of the stuff to finish up my Streetport 13b last night and this means it should be finished soon. I was hoping to get the corksport exhaust and put it on the RB dual outlet header i am getting but i just found out that the company i worked for last summer screwed me over on my taxes..... i have to pay a 10% self-employment tax when i only earned 3000 dollars. that just sucks. i shouldnt have to pay taxes, i am a poor college kid with an expensive hobby

Why would you want to put a full single exhaust on a dual outlet header? You might as well use the single outlet header. Now if you ran duals all the way to the back and then collected right before a muffler that would make sense. The custom piece you would need to have made to connect the duals to the corksport single would cost just as much as the two pipes running two feet further and connecting at the back. Evil Aviator has the duals all the way to the back, and then collected right before the muffler. This set-up is said to have the most power potential if done properaly. I'll look for evil's pics.

Sorry Evil's car does not have that set-up. He does have a nice custom exhaust though.

What's the point of having 2 seperate pipes that collect at the muffler exept to spend more money ?

Ditto. My engine is being torn down and getting a full SP as well. I'm not sure what is wrong with it yet ( oil seals I believe ) but the rebuild kits I've found are from a minimum of $400 (Atkins) to $700 (Revolution) do you have a source to get them cheaper?

eh... wrong

aparently the ideal position for a collector is 27 inches from the exhaust ports. the RB runners are 22 inches so i am putting a collector 5" from the headers. ideal power. and i am getting the collector from summit and doing the welding myself.... noooo problem

i got the seal kit and everything i needed to put the engine back together from mazdatrix for 238$$ but i didnt need knew metal seals so that is just soft seals
