just want to share a few stories of ppl being stupid

a guy I work with was telling me that his honda civic lx was able to pick on mustang GT and z28 camaros. he also was telling me that my car would lose against his cause mine has a 1.3LT and his was made by honda so it is better. his mods include: clear tail lights, cut springs, and 18" rims. thats it. I should have raced him
also he was telling me about this grand prix that he has that does 0-100 in 4 seconds flat. he claims supercharged stock from the factory makes it do this.


another guy I work with was saying that his 97 mustang v6 with the only mod of a dual exhaust was able to do 0-60 in 5 seconds. not bad right??? well I must be pulling 0-60 in a good 4 something since I did beat his *** all the way up to 60 then he let off.

anyone else have stories out there of stupid ppl who think they are great cause they have a honda or some other car, maybe that big of fart can exhaust?

 

my friend claims that his friend's STOCK 89 MR2 pulls 12.1 on the quarter mile. When I told him he was lieing and that even the twin turbo MR2 here doesn't pull that he just claimed that "well it doesn't matter, I seen my friends car pull the 12.1)...

Maybe with a GTECH that has been smashed into the wall a few times.

 

My other friend claims that his friends Ford Probe Turbo was tuned up to 25 psi on the stock turbo...when I asked if they had upgraded the fuel system to deal with the extra boost he just claimed "no man, he just turned the turbo up to 25psi"

HAHA, I actually DO know a guy who is boosting about that on a Ford Probe. But he has done extensive work on that engine, including upgraded turbo AND fuel delivery. He's not quite running 25psi, but last I heard he was boosting somewhere around 17-19 I think. His name is Chris and goes by RAW POWER on www.probetalk.com

There will always be the Civic/Mustang Morons... Daddy buys them a V6 Automatic mustang, and BAM they are bad shiznit and faster than anything.. They will grow up soon and realize that ANY car can be fast with the proper TLC...

I like to look at it as Speed per Dollar =) Anyone can spend craploads on a V6 auto mustang, But for a fraction of the cost you can get a car that is faster and funner =) it's simple math =) and the rotary is the best anyways... DUH

I prefer exhaust and intake mods over Rims and Type-R stickers..

 

oh yeah this guy with the mustang was a 6 mt, but still slower then hell.

had another guy today in one of those civic hatchbacks or whatever kept reving his motor at me today though he was fast and **** that or just trying to show me he was louder then I was. but I got tired of it and we hit a light and I dropped the clutch at 5000 rpms and left him. though I will say that 4-5 inch tip was loud but still not louder then the rx7 pulling 7000 rpms :-D
also sounded like he had to go visit the john soon. I swear that was the biggest and loudest fart noise I ever heard in my life

 

Co-worker an I were standing next to my NA '86 rx and a guy in a MX-3 pulls up. "Is that a fast car?" my co-worker asks him. "yeah it does 150 mph" (at least he can read the numbers on the speedo) The mx-3 guy looks appreciatively at my RX and asks "how fast is it" I reply "The speedometer indicates 128mph at its top speed." (yeah it was still stock) Mx-3 guy lowers his head in shame for his boasts of speed and shuffles off. At least he respected the RX!! These damn ricers and mullet heads prolong their embarassment by insisting Hondas/v-8s always win untill they see your tail lights. That is fun as well sometimes

 

Well, here's one for you: I went to a cineplex the other day, and suddenly there he is a friend of mine from the Army (we do have to go to the Army for 1,5 year here in Greece).

After all the "how are you" and "what are you doing right now" stuff, I ask him "how's that POS Punto you had ?" (he owns a Punto GT with various mods -or so he claims). And he goes like "man, forget that, in 2 months I'll be getting a CLK Compressor". So I say "OK, you would be still WAAAYYY slower than me" (he doesnt know that I got a TII), so he asks "what do yo have now ?", and I say "a TII". Thank god he knows what this is, but he goes on and sez "yeah, well wait just a week, when I'll put a second supercharger ! and then we are talking about 300WHP !!!". And I say "OK, whatever... ".

Then he goes on and sez, "well your Rex isnt too shabby, but the new RX8 will be much better", and I tell him "the RX8 will be four-door, four-seater, its not a replacement for the RX7, there will be a new RX7 in 2003", and then he sez "shiit man, you know nothing, I know cause I have almost driven the thing ", and I say "how ?", and he sez -better hold on to something!!- "well, Grand Turismo 3 has it and I have played it once or twice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

man, what ELSE will I hear in this world....

 

awww come one, one of my friends claims his bud has a stock 4cyl mustang that does 4sec flat 0-60 also another friend says that a stock integra type r is undefeated at the drag strip, running an amazing 15.5 1/4, oh that friend also says a v6 stang can beat any rx7 there is. stupid people, i swear lol

 

The fastest Probe is the GT, which is a 6 cyl. They didn't make turbocharged probes.

That is incorrect. The older Probes were available as turbo.

I have a damn turbo probe try to race me every weekend. They are slow as hell.

 

Yup...probe's had a 2.0 turbo (non-intercooled) and a 2.2 turbo (intercooled)

I have an '86 mazda 626 TURBO and i run anywhere from 14 to 19lbs of boost. The stock turbo is capable of running at a max of around 20lbs. @ 14lbs the car runs VERY STRONG! I put a good set of tires up front so i dont get any more wheel spin....and i catch EVERYONE off guard! Once they hear the blitz blow-off valve, they know they are toast This car is capable of low 13's and has 153k miles on the original motor and turbo. (both are about shot now though What a great daily driver and winter car for 350 bucks!

I really dont like probe but with that said my best friend had a gt turbo I put the subs in for him. He was a real cocky bastard but would never race my stock 85. He would always have these "Man last night I beat a 67 camero with a 350 and NOS." Or I raced a new vette yesterday and it was close but I got him on top seed."

i h8 all the probe gt and supra drivers that try my 7 every week. they laugh at my 1.3 until they find themselves a car length behind me at 3rd gear.

 

H8 em.. I Luv em... I love to beat on em. Here is another story.
My second day in my new home town. I am on the way to the junkyard to get a starter for a friend. Its a 55mph sl and a single pretty str8 road. I am runnin bout 70 - 75. I roll up on the VW something (To many stickers to ID it) with a huge *** ghetto spoiler and tips. He porbably runnin 60 or so. I slow down a bit take a look and ease over to pass. He pegs it. Im beside him lookin at him like what are you doin?? His buddy is screammin at him and laughing (I guess yelling go go go go). So I down shift and blow him away. I pulll into the junkyard parking lot and guess who pulls in. He hoops out and says "Man what you got in there a v6, probably a honda v6 turbo" I just say "Yea man how did you know." He says I used to have one just like it......
I say " Cool , Later fellas..."
I love those guys........

 

What I love are the people who are just sure that there were 4cyl RX-7 models at some point.

For example whenever I go into my local auto parts store (we have 4 in town, they're all the same) they all snicker when I tell them I need a whatever for my '88 RX-7. After they get done calling it a "jap p.o.s.", they soften and tell me they're friend/uncle/brother/cousin/girlfriend has a rotary something and he/she sold it for an RX-7, but it was the all wheel drive 4 cylinder RX-7, not the rotary.

I laugh, smile, and walk away.

Or the people who are always telling me that their 626 is AWD & twin turbo V6 6-speed. So while they're still in the store I look under the front end and see a FWD 4cyl header coming off all rusted iron, no rear diff and 1-2-3-4-5-R on the shifter. When they leave, their FWD burnout is obvious.

I just laugh, and know that my car stock does high 16's stock, while their car is probably high 18s or 19s...

I could probably race them with my Fiesta... :p

 

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! GOSH that's some GREAT stories! I absolutely LOVE the "What you got in there, probably a honda v6 turbo", "Yeah, how'd you guess?" "I used to have one". I just talked to this Rx7 "guru" the other day he was telling me I need to make sure that I have both of my cams installed with 0 degree of timing on it. and that I should watch it cause the lifters sometimes get noisy.

another guy was telling me that rotarys are very unreliable and that is something mazda should have fixed. ok yeah unreliable. I am only pushing 167k still getting 22-28mpg. I hold a perfect idle hell I can make the thing idle at 300-400 rpms STEADY. so I would say I am getting decent compression.

someone also though he could beat my car in his probe GT through a canyon area well that was fun I hope he enjoyed my taillights :-D and anyone who lives in idaho and has been to McCall going by the cascade river you know how fun it is going through there.

a guy said his 1.6L honda was better cause it was bigger..... nuff said.



and one thing I have always wondered ok. hondas and crap like that are all FWD right??? so why the hell do they put the biggest and ugliest spoiler on the back side of the car??? yes lets give the front wheel no traction but make sure the rear grabs just fine now........

 

My fiance and I met this dude with a Honda Civic and we started talking cars. The conversation turned to RX-7 Vs. Supra. Obviously this guy saw fast and the furious too many times because he kept saying the Supra would win hands down. I'd ask why and he just said because it's a Supra. Then he went on to saying RX-7s are ugly and my fiance immediatly replied with "And you drive THAT?" pointing to the Civic. He got mad and said "what do YOU drive?" She drive a 1993 Probe GT...the 2.5L V6..not the turbo 4. Anyway he says he would smoke her in a race. I ask what modle civic it is. he says very proudly "EX". Remember that car has abuot 115hp stock and hers has 164hp stock not to mention a torque rating of 156 compared to his 110 or something, I just nod smile and we walk away.
