Just an Introduction
Hey everyone,
my name is Pete, I recently picked up a pair of RX-7 2nd Gens, 86 and an 87. one's strickly a parts car, and I've been trying to get the 87 working. feeling confident though. so far the starter turns the rotors... and that's about it, the sparks are sparking... and it feels as if there is no gas getting to the combustion chamber... but then again, I'm far from a rotary engine expert. but I am willing to learn, and possibably drop some dough to get such a nice car like this one running. well that's enough out of me for now... if anyone has some other questions or comments, PM me and I'll get back to you... thanks!

Hey, welcome to the forum. My #1 suggestion would be to get a Haynes factory service manual. This will be your best friend when working with the rx-7. This will help greatly with your troubleshooting.
Along with the Haynes, I would say the Factory Repair Manual. although like $90, it is worth is weight in gold if you plan on working on your car yourself through engine rebuilds, suspension repair, and just about anything you can come up with. Good luck with the '87 and have fun on these forums. This is THE BIGGEST wealth of knowledge that I have ever seen in one place concerning these car's.
A liittle over a year I was giving the name (Brian) I think from Libburn , Ga. but I have lost the other info. I need his address and pn#, If possible. I need to contact1Him I have a1988 rx_7 that I need some info or help with on the Engine. Thanks for your info.

The first thing to do is to read the 2nd Gen faqs. There are answers to tons of commonly asked questions there, and lots of good info.
Also, one of the things contained in the FAQ is a link to download the FSM in PDF form.
Good luck, and welcome to the forums.
