So yeah, we just got done installing an FD fuel pump, a BAC block-off plate, a Turbo XS BOV, a Racing Beat FCD and a MBC in this Turbo II.
We were also going to install a 3" TID, but I totally forgot about the necessary adapter plate.
Anyways, the only thing this '87 Turbo II had done to it before these mods (power-wise)--was a ghetto DP/MP with the custom cat gutted. It's pretty sweet though, because this car has VERY good compression all around and a great S4 turbo. We turned up the boost so that it's max boost is 10psi--but it bleeds off to about 6-7psi by redline. To make a long story short, it was VERY close to my Turbo II, with my boost controller shut off and making around 8-9psi. You can see my mods in my sig. Anyways, we're both very happy with the results, so I figured I'd share.

Oh yeah, we swapped cars after playing around for about 20 minutes--so I got to feel first hand the power-band differences.
My Turbo II pulls harder in the low/mid-range--but top-end they feel about the same.
My motor is street-ported, but since I didn't do it, I don't know how aggressive it is.

I cracked the shaft-to-butterfly welds comming back from the Deal's Gap rally.
The newer models have stronger welds & the company swapped me for a new one under warranty.
I think part of the problem was me running half open for long periods.
The butterfly is under much less stress fully open or fully closed.
When wifey is not in the car, I open it 2-6 times a day.
Sometimes I open it in parking lots, so the bubbleheads don't back in to me.
(They KNOW there is a car behind them.)
