What kind of temps are you running around town, on the highway, and in hard driving?

I have a standard EGT gauge on my T2. I usually do about 1200 around town, 1400 in closed loop on the highway, and peg at 1600 at the race track

I just was reading that link. He said they have a lifetime warranty so thats good. I just have to make sure I install them right. Im going to cut out the holes then weld in bungs instead of just tapping the tubular manifold. The bungs might be a little safer. Now for the pics..

Dual EGT gauge

Dual EGT gauge and my AEM wideband

This is the manifold the EGT probes will be going on

*Notice all the cash is gone from the desk.. haha

And this is the turbo thats going on my car.. Should do pretty good.

nice! I was looking at that same egt but on a differant website. any reason for not just drilling and tapping the manifold? Only reason I ask is because I'm doing this to mine as we speak. Nice to see you getting egts from both exhaust ports! I didn't have this capability with my zeitronix so I just used on in the rear rotor since thats the one that gets the hottest.

its a wideband. I wanted a gauge style wideband display instead of the "cigarrett box" wideband displays. I like the fact that these have the LEDs also. You have the AEM boost conteroller also? or just the wideband? I was thinking of getting it. I have a apex'i AVC-R right now.

Yea I was going to get just the single probe unit from autometer or something. and just tap into the turbo rear housing to put it. Then I seen this one and HAD to have it. lol. I like the way it has a F for front rotor housing and R for rear rotor housing. But anyways I'm welding in bungs instead of tapping it because Im using a tubular manifold. Tubular manifolds are thinner then cast manifolds. So with the thinner manifold being tapped theres a slight chance of it stripping the threading. Also I think it might be a little more prone to cracking around where its tapped at. Where If I just buy some bungs (2.99) and weld them in, it will reinforce it a little better IMO.

And also. Its a dual EGT gauge, where 99% of other gauges are single probe. I personally think monitoring both rotors is a lot better then just monitoring one. Which is why I would recommend this gauge.

Thanks man.. Theyre some off brand Cheapy rims. One of my buddies has some white 18" tenzo R rims Im thinkin of seein how they look on my car. Might go with those if they look okay. I eventually want some gunmetal rims.. not sure which style yet though

Oh and back to the topic.. here is pics of the thermocouplers and the harnesses. The rubber shroud it looks like is covering steel braided wiring that goes over the actual wires. Im taking my manifold in this week to get it tapped for the thermocouplers so I can start installing all this stuff..

Sorry it took so long for the pics

*The kit came with two clamps also to install them onto a tubular manifold.
