No the FC3s Unit is nice! It is a cylindrical shape with a deep pocket under the oil filter boss to collect oil when changing filters. I'll post pics of one installed tonight

This question is for Dave (fc3s.org).

I received my oil pedestal too. It is very nice. I noticed that it came w/ two washers. Do you maintain a stock of replacement washers (in case they wear out, tear, etc.)?

Also, why didn't you put the FC3S.org logo on it?

It is a NICE piece. Very good design and function. It is not just a block of metal w/ holes in it. It conforms to the design of the OEM oil filtration system......good quality.

They should supply you with a block off bolt for the stock oil pressure sensor, to fill the hole! But that does look nice.

Sorry. Dave no here. Dave retire.

Those Washers are actually called O-Rings. It Is always good practice to replace Gaskets and O-Rings when running In to them. If you need them, go to the Dealership. I can't see them being that much. Even for that matter, those O-Rings will probably outlast the life of the car. Just like replacing the Pilot Bearing when the Motor Is out. Ask me why? I'm paying the price for It now.

For those who aren't running an Oil Pressure Unit, just plug the hole with a 1/8NPT cap.

I'm still here finishing up my other hood thread

The o-rings are stock replacements. They cost $3.25 from Mazda LOL I included them free since I knew that most if not all of you would pull your stock pedestal off and see that the stock ones are old and pressed flat, providing a poor seal. Just remove the stock pedestal, remove the studs int he stock one and place them in the new one. Then place the new o-rings in the bottom of the new pedestal, place the new pedestal on the motor, and screw down the 10MM nuts under it. It would probably be a good idea to install the new senders into the pedestal prior to installing.

I didn't include plugs because that would have raised the price, and most people are using both gauges. Doesn't hurt to have a backup gauge

The engraving would have been more than $8 a unit. Not that big of a deal to me. No one else out there makes a unit like it And it is in process of copyrighting as well. (that's a PITA)

So I place BOTH o-rings in the bottom of the new pedestal? OR do I place just one of them?

I'm no genious, but rubber on rubber contact is not exactly the best thing. (Is this how Mazda has it set up from the factory?)

There's 2 holes, a return, and a sending, so you would need one o ring per hole
