Just got my exhuast done, would like some suggestions/ opinions!

Well I went and got my exhaust done today,
I am not 100% pleased with the work that was done,
but it is my fault I guess, I told the guy to have the tip match the back of the bumper, But I didn't relize it would look so akword,
I am pretty sure I am gunna go back and have him move it back alittle,
I just wanted to get some feedback to see what others thought,
( not feedback like, Get RB!!!! blah blah!! )
Just curious if you also think Is should change it, or just leave it
thanx guys!

wow... $128??? that better be 3" piping.. piping from just the cat back to the muffler costs like $30.

what is it? mild steel? stainless? mandrel bent?

I wouldn't put the exit before the bumper. Our cars (depending how modified) tend to shoot flames. I'd have the tip (just the smaller diameter part) come of right after the vertical line of the bumper.

^ thats what I am thinking, ( my car shoots fire alot already ( misadj. tps)
and 128$ is cheap around here.
the best I could find actually,
Everywhere else was 140-160$,
it is mild steel I belive I had him make the exhaust as straight as possible, so it has 2 slight mandrel bends.

I think you should leave it where it is, most likely your bumper will get burnt. How does it sound?

well someone had done some previous exhaust work,
so all it has left is one cat, and it honestly sounds amazing,
no raspy'ness whatso ever just a solid deep tone all the way to 8,
I am verry pleased with the sound but I miss the sound of a rotary I think I am gunna take my cat off.

Huh...

I would have him cut it a little shorter. Also, is that as 'high' as it can be mounted? It looks pretty low and *kind of* akward... Regardless, you did it for the performance aspect, so looks are secondary.

well the reason it is so low, is because of how far foward it is,
the "pan" of the muffler is at the end of the bumper, and that is bigger than the tip, so it had to hang lower, I think for right now I will just leave it, It doesn't look insanely retarded does it?

Yeah... I guess it doesn't look *too* retarded, lol.

One thing that slightly bugs me (from a critical perspective) are the noticable 'weld' lines circling the diameter of the piping (behind and on? the muffler). It's obviously not as clean as an aftermarket exhaust setup, but overall it's not that bad. I wonder what it would look like if some, or all of it were painted a high-temp, low-gloss black?

^ haha
I was thinking the exact same thing, doing from behind the muffler to- cat,
in a low gloss almost "flat" high temp black paint.

Sucks, but it might be hard to get it 'up' anymore, simply because the exhaust 'tunnels' are pretty narrow on an FC...

it doesn't look completely horrible haha

like someone else said, looks arn't the reason for a performance exhaust.

if it sounds decent and performs better than stock, you have no worries

if your car shoots fire already.... I would have it stay in place and maybe even tilt down a little so you don't have a CRISPEE bumper... that would suck... get out and smell something smoldering... OH **** MY CAR IS ON FIRE!!!!

hehe

Well as soon as I can weld and have a mandrel bender and pipe and a lift, I won't.
