if you want sleepy eye mod and want to save money just disable the motor half way lol. RX-7 is not a bad car to learn to drift in but save yourself an accident and learn in a cheap corolla or 240sx.

First things first. Welcome.
If you don't want to actually do any work, and still have usable lights, then pop your hood. There's a small fuse block on the driver's side in front of the suspension tower. Pull off that cover and pull the headlight retractor fuse. Stuff that somewhere safe, then get on your knees...Directly under the headlight assembly, under the front bumper, there is a rubber cap (Which is sometimes missing, so ignore this). Pull that off. It covers a **** that you turn to manually adjust the headlights up or down. Do that for each headlight, and you're set. When you want your headlights to work again, just stick the fuse back in. That's the simplest way of doing it.
My second suggestion will be to MAKE SURE you always use the Search feature before posting a thread. Most everything has been posted before, and it'll be A LOT faster than posting your own, brand new thread and having to wait for replies...if you get any. Also, the FAQ is a good read.
Thirdly, change all the fluids. Flush the cooling system, change the oil, change the tranny oil and the rear diff oil. Change your spark plugs and air filter as well. A big killer of any car is neglect...so any preventative maintainence is a good idea.

2 easy free ways for sleepy eyes:
a: remove rubber covers located under each headlight motor and manually crank lights up to desire height, replace rubber caps and remove headlight fuse from block on drivers side shock tower
b: have someone turn lights on,raising them, then turn off and as they lower pull the fuse (may take some practice to get timing just right)
congrats and welcome to the club

dont kill the cones
first off wankelme nice paint job and second off since your new to the game and noone here decided to break you the news........ i hope you have deep pockets cuz the rotary engine is not the most reliable motor espically when your abusing it at high rpm drifting but good luck

A Rotary Engine is only as reliable as it's owner...Whoever said Rotaries aren't reliable, originally, should be shot (heh). If you take proper care of it, it'll be just as, if not more reliable than any piston motor is.
However, you are correct in saying that drifting is abuse. Drifting is not easy on any car, in any way. It's a very harsh motorsport...which is odd, considering the key to it is smoothness.
If the O.P. does indeed plan on drifting their car, then yes...he/she better have some money. Tires, brakes, clutches, gearboxes, suspension...and what's worse...engines.
I will join in and say 'Good luck'...you're going to need it.
