you can buy cleaner cds that have a little brush on them, and you put some cleaner solution on it, and then put it in the cd player and let it play

the question is do you care if its stock or aftermarket. i like a car to be completely stock atleast the interior anyway. i have tore down my current cd player and cleaned the eye for the cd player and all the belts for the cassette and cd and the shock mounts. if you need info email me
note: i did this on a convert 89 90 stock cd/cassette player radio works great.

Self-indulgent bump, with updates:

1. Regarding the ticket. I went to court and was the very first case of the day, quite strange. I got probation, but still had to pay a reduced fine plus court costs. The total was exactly the same $75 as the ticket, but at least I didn't get any points on my license.

2. Got a cheap but nice Clarion MP3/CD player from Crutchfield, and learned a little about my wiring putting it in. The antenna relay is a PITA -- it seems as though I don't have the factory original, since it seems to draw too much juice for me to power the amps consistently. I took it out of the circuit and all is well, including radio reception.

3. Pulled up alongside Tofuball this morning in Bethesda. Small world, eh? How are ya?

I can help you wire it up, I've crammed in an aftermarket head unit too. The antena is tricky, you need to buy a new relay cuz ground and positive is reversed from where it is on most cars, so the head unit gets confused That is probably why you have the aftermarket relay on it.

By the way, Awesome car!
