Just did Throttle body mod went Premix..Have feedback..

Guys I spent all day workin on my ride today..I did the throttle body mod and I just have to say..OMFG...The improvement that I felt was phonomenal...I also added some premix oil into my gas at a ration of 1 ounce to 1 gallon of gas...Before I did the Throttle body mod my car felt as if it had a big restriction when you really got into it...After I did the throttle body mod Me and a friend of mine took it out on a country road and tested it out...1st gear pulled so hard it fried my stock clutch...Clutch had been slipping..Now it slips bad...It will spin the tires through 1st into second..If I had a good clutch I bet it would spin third..Or at least bark the tires..I have various other mods as well but this proved to be the best by far...If you haven't done it..You owe it to yourself to do it...Ok..I have a question now..I started the premix thing..I understand that the engine injects motor oil into my rotor housing on my rotor..If I ran premix..I would want to take this off...Is there anyway to do it and would it be a good idea???Could I take the mechanical pump off and use a block off plate from K2rd???Some one explain to me how to go about this..It is a 86 N/A...I also notice that my car when it decelerates from high rpms its smokes bad...But then after a couple of secs it quits..When you are excellerating and just normal driving you really can't notice it...It has been doing it for sometime now...Anyone ever had this problem...Post up some replys and let me know...Thanks guys this forum is the best...David Hugg...

To get rid of the OMP, you have to take the OMP, the lines, and oil injectors off. After that, you will need to acquire a block off plate, I fabbed mine, but I think someone sells them. After that is blocked off, you need to block off the holes where the oil injectors go, I used some bolts and has been working fine since.

Once that is all done, use the 1 oz/gallon ratio and you're set. Sorry if it is a little vague, but I'm tired and there are a lot of threads on this, so you can find more info if you search.

Pre-mixing for over 5000k's and have thought about It since.

I did all of the above, block off plate, remove lines and OMP and used bolts In placement of the former Oil Injectors.

I have noticed better acceleration and this mod cleans up the Engine Bay as well.

Also I have bought a whole wack of Valvoline Multi Use 2 stroke oil and have them pre-measured at 16oz so everytime I fill up I just dump the whole bottle In. Done.

How great of a difference do you think you noticed from the TB mod? Do you think it was about the same as a less-restrictive intake, or was it more? I'm thinking about doing it, but not sure about the benefits yet. I'm not too sure why you're concerned with removing the mechanical metering oil-pump as they rarely fail, but if you're looking to clean up the bay and run premix anyway, I don't see why not. Happen to have a digital camera? I'd be interested in seeing what it looks like when it's completed.

If It Is rare that the Mechanical OMP fails than I would have been the under dog of those odds.

Really? I haven't heard of many mechanical pumps failing, though those damn Electronic ones sure do!

I don't understand why ANYONE with a stock ECU would run without the OMP...electrical or otherwise. The mechanical ones rarely to never fail. In fact, I would be the first to try to make the mechanical one fit in an FD.

Real gain...Aside from cleaning up the engine bay, you're just making sure that your engine is getting the right amount of oil in the combustion chamber.

I run premix AND the OMP. I have turned the rate of injection up in my OMP with the PFC datalogit hardware, plus I add appx. 6 oz. per full tank fill up.

Well for the first question..ANYONE WHO HASN"T DONE THE THROTTLE BODY MOD>>DO IT>>IT IS Well worth the effort...It makes a huge difference..When We got on it 1st gear you could actually feel the car waking up..It was amazing..Second question the OMP pump issue..I would rather premix my car for the simple reason..Motor oil is not suppose to be burnt...It stinks...I don't like it..I would much rather have the smell of bean oil on my clothes instead of burnt motor oil. It is a little more time consuming taking it off seeing how you have to take the whole intake off to get to the injectors, but I would rather do that...I think it makes better since...Well I do have a digital camera..It wil be a few days before I can take pictures of completion Cause I have to order the block off plate..Also what do you guys know about the split air block off plate. What exactly is that...I can remove it to..I am going to finish going bare block today...Wish me luck...
