Just broke my pressure plate...... Pics

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share this with everyone. It's really frustrating. I just went through and refreshed everything on my TII except the engine, got it running great and this happened after driving for only 30 miles.

I was on my way to work, driving down the road just after leaving my house, no more than 5 minutes away and suddenly I couldn't change gears. I revmatched and threw the car into second, sped up, ran a red light to make a left turn and stopped in a wells fargo parking lot. I still had clutch pressure, but I couldn't disengage the clutch at all. So there I was at 5:30AM stuck with a car that wouldn't go anywhere unless it's pushed.

So I called AAA, with my plus membership I get 100 miles of towing. I told them to get me a flatbed rollback truck and to make sure he had ramps for a low car because I have an Odula front lip. Ths guys shows up almost an hour later with no ramps and tells me he'll break my lip when he pulls it up, and he's not responsible for damages. I had no tools so I just had him drive me home. I called in to work, said I was having car trouble, and took the day off.
I then got it my 4x4 B truck with tools and took back off the the car. I checked it out and figured the slave cylinder took a **** so I drove over to the auto parts store and waited for them to open. I ordered a new master and slave cylinder, they tols me theyd be there at 11 so I drove back to the car and removed the old parts. They looked shitty, but seemed ok, so I got weary and felt the clutch fork. It didn't have any play so I assumed I didn't break the pivot ball.

11 got close, so I drove back and picked up the parts, went back to the car and installed them. Luckily when I had to bleed it a Puerto Rican guy walked over to see what was up and was talking about rtaries and how everyone in PR loves them. he pumped the pedal for me while I bled the new **** out. I finished up, got back in the car and no dice.
Some other **** went down, I picked up one of my friend on his lunch break and bled it again to no avail. I dropped him back off, took the lip off the car and called AAA again.

Guy showed up, towed the car back to my house. About that time Pele came by. We jacked up the car and removed the trans and clutch to find this...

It's a tilton Twin disc clutch, Does anyone know if I can have that ring replace, or do I have to order a new Pressure plate assembly?

Either way I'm going back to stock or something close to it. With two FC's the money I just spent on this one, and the house I can't afford to fix it I'm sure... This clutch and flywheel combo is for sale, I have a local friend who's interested, but if any of you are PM me with an offer. I don't know how much this thing is worth like this.

Thank for reading, It was a really shitty day.

I feel your pain man, I have had this same issue but with the OEM clutch. I fixed mine by adjusting the pedal height, but I don't think my problem is truly fixed. By the way BUMP

I'd call Tilton to see what they have to say about it. Maybe they'll swing you a deal on a replacement part or even warranty it

I already e-mailed them tonight. I hope I get good news. I bought that clutch used, but I've had it for less that 1,000 miles and it was in good shape when I got it.

Get an assembly diagram from Tilton to make sure those discs are all in order and in the correct orientation.

When i didnt have anyone to help me bleed my clutch i got a piece of hose, slipped it over the bleeder screw then put the other end into the clutch master cylinder fluid. Crack open bleeder screw, keep pumping pedal till firm then close bleeder screw. Its not the correct way to do it but works when your desiprate.
