Exclamation Just bought a TII

Very happy the car is impecable Its an 87 Turbo II upgraded to an s5 turbo, HKS exaust, Bonez high flow cat, engine has 104k on it, FCD installed, Turbo timer installed, wastegate is ported,
Exterior is original paint NO RUST Excellent condition overall
One problem... NO IDLE car dies as soon as warmed up and dies unless throttle is maintained or kept in gear
Ive never had idle issues with my other Rx7 so i need to know best way to get it fixed, and guys please dont tell me its bad news cuz its the ONLY thing keeping this car from being perfect
Thanks!

dont mess with the afm, check the timing, bac valve, and most of all the damn TPS. Do a search on how to test/ adjust all these things, and if you still have a problem then theres plenty more things to check, those are just what account for like 90% of the Idle problems Ive heard.

search for a vaccum leak

Can always get out the carb cleaner and spray like a mad man while you have a buddy hold the idle at a constant rpm(had to do this in the past). If its a vaccum leak your rpms should increase when sprayed directly with the carb cleaner.

Good Luck, idle problems are never fun

ya vacuum leak. i just got my tII yesterday and it had a funky idle but put up 88 psi on the compression test. i found the hose that comes off the intake pipe to my bov was cracked i kinda fixed it by pushing back into place then when i got back into boost i just ripped it even more now i need to fix it

its not as bad as you think looking for a vacuum leak. get carb cleaner, starter fluid, or a butane torch and put it around everything the seems to have a vacuum in it, ie everything thats connected to the intake in some way. if the car picks up rpm while idleing you found your leak.
