Check the FAQ regarding turbocharging the NA engine. Yes, it can be done if you have the skill and technical knowledge to do so. Unlike the Honda world, there are no off the shelf kits.

If you want to keep the car NA, you can make it a little faster without having to go into the engine. See the topic "how to make a beefy n/a" in the Archives.

Above all, sit back and READ the FAQ and Archives. You'll learn a lot...

I would suggest that your initial approach should be how to make better use of the power you already have.

Assuming that the engine is indeed running "perfect"-

-upgrade the suspension and brakes.
-swap the entire driveline from the pressure plate back to Turbo spec parts- if you actually decide to go turbo later you'll have to do this anyway.
-inspect/replace all bushings.
-upgrade your driving skills...the racing world is full of examples of "underpowered" cars/bikes winning competitions because of driver ability and superior chassis setup.

All of the above should be done before any attempt to increase the actual horsepower and will only increase the reliability and enjoyment of what you already have.

THEN you can consider how much more power you need- and how to get it.

First thing to do is get rid of the first two cats. If the 91 has 'em. Cold air intake system will help. Along with new exhaust. Also you can have the ecu reprogrammed for more power. I've heard of cars that do an intake mod at the throttle body. Just research that on this site! A lightweight flywheel may help with better acceleration. Also change all fliuds and filters INC fuel filter! Also the shifter bushing might need changed and is a cheap easy fix!
