Just bought an 88 FC-have a question?

Just bought this car a couple of weeks ago and need to get it running, I noticed that my 80 amp fuse was blown and wondering what could cause that it to blow.
thanks Bryan

Hitting the alt charging wire against the engine while doing alt work is one way...

Or hooking the battery up backwards, or the starter wire shorting. Basically just go over your wiring and verify everything's in OK condition.

Shorting the battery won't blow a fuse. You just gave the battery the shortest circuit it could possibly have, and it's not fused, lol. Good way to arc weld, though
