Hi, just wanted to let you know I like your car a lot. I hope once installed the kit matches the paintjob nicely.

I'll sell my 16's, but for now, am keeping my BBS's my 17's and 18's.

Finished painting my kit this weekend. And was in a painting mood I guess, cuz I finally painted my 18's. They're gonna look so much better than just the solid white on my car. I might test em out this weekend comin up at my first drift event of the season.

Also bought a HKS BOV SQV I, and a manual boost controller to help minimize the amount of knock off parts I have on my car.

This is a Joe P MBC... I've heard nothing but good things from his parts and for this price, it's hard to beat.

Only pic from this Sundays drift event due to an almost catastrophe.

Quick Update, BOV installed, Joe P never shipped my b. controller. Wrote him a letter, he said he forgot and would send it last night. Then my car almost blew up at the drift event. My ghetto battery tie down doesn't work with my optima yellow top... It is like three times heavier than my old die hard. So it slid into the power steering belt and completely severed my positive wire. Then I had fuel cut, and built up my oil pressure and spewed out almost a liter of oil all into my engine bay from the oil filler neck! So to fix these issues and finish my upgrades for the season, I'll be buying/installing these items here in the next week or two.

- Battery Tie Down
- Oil Catch Can (Probably just build my own)
- Racing Beat Fuel Cut Defender (Already bought about 20 minutes ago)
- Installing my Boost Controller once it gets here
- Installing my 4-Point Harnesses

Wrote him a letter
LoL! Like on paper and ****???

FCD seems like such a nice idea, but realy doesn't work (well/safe). I got rid of mine quicly and installed a KnightSports ECU which kind of fitted my upgrades. But you should just really get a tune.

How did the pressure build up? I'm not sure exactly. Maybe when I cut through my positive line, or when I had the fuel cut. My oil level was above the full too, so maybe that, goin from 150 oil temp, to 170 in about 1 minute. Not too sure exactly... I'm no mechanic haha.

Lol, no an email. Would've called but only had email info. He responded pretty quickly tho, so hopefully it'll come in today. Still waitin on JTPs knuckles... those should've been here by now. There are 3 fc drifters here in CO that all run them and swear by them. Buckey ran one until he switched to Haltech as well, so I'm sure it'll do the trick until I switch to stand alone.

They're 18x10, not too sure about the offset, somewhere between 25 and 35 I'd say.
And thanks for the compliments!

Be careful with that mbc. If you hit fuel cut already than it sounds like youre w/gate is not ported. An fcd will make you run lean when higher than stock boost which i believe is between 7-8.25 psi. As you add boost you need to retard timing and if you are running stock ecu than you will surely pop that engine. The upgraded tmic wont help anything either. Jusy be careful. i recoment porting your turbo waste gate though. Then you have "less risk" and a little better turbo response too. I dont remember if youve deleted your rats nest?

That's right... I don't know how long it will last, but to me it didn't feel safe without any other mods and no way to monitor.

Yes. Unless you have supporting fuel mods or want to blow your engine.

All RTek chips come with fuel cut apparently. It also is supposed to delete the cold start system. They are supposed to retard timing by 1 degree per psi over 9 psi. This is what most people don tknow. *** you add boost you need to retard timing and add fuel accordingly. If all you do is add boost and fuel you can still pop the engine. rtek is a generic tune system. Its good for a while but I wouldnt recomend staying with it forever. Stand alone is best. Im gonna do Rtek for a little bit. Cheap affective way to add bigger injectors.

Unless our friend here doesnt actually have rtek?

Tyler, port the turbo and atleast upgrade the fuel pump. Fd fuel pumps and supre TT pumps slap right into place.

So, it has fuel cut, or doesn't it? You write it has, but I think you mean it doesn't.

Im sorry i meant rtech has fuel cut defensor/FCD. Sorry for the confusion here. So you shouldnt experience fuel cut if you have one installed which is why i find Tylors situation a little puzzling.

Well I got the fuel cut, cuz my battery tie down was ghetto rigged, and my battery slid into my power steering belt and cut the positive line in two. I'm assuming thats why I got the fuel cut to begin with. Then was told i needed a fcd. So I bought it from RB, and when i plugged it in, my car ran like ****. So it definitely doesn't agree with my rtek. I'm assuming thats what the issue is. I probably should've checked on the RTek website before ordering the fcd. So I have mine for sale now if anyone wants one, haha.

And I tried putting the kit on Saturday with no luck. This fitment is just awful! I'm really pissed about this. I wish I would've invested the money in a better company. Cuz now I'm gonna be spending even more to have this fitted properly. It's about 3.5 inches short. I can't get it to wrap around to go into both fenders. You can see it's too skinny from the pics. The side skirts need to be trimmed, and I didn't even get to the rear bumper yet. So ya, looks like I'm staying stock body for a bit longer...

So, Tyler. Now that youve been sliding for a bit. Can you feel a difference between 17" and 18" rims?

Well, my 18's weigh about 5-8 more pounds than my 17's, so yeah, I can definitely notice a difference. I really like sliding on 17-18s more than the 15s I did when i first started. Its more predictable. I mean, its alot easier to initiate with the 15's, but easier to spin out. I really like the bigger wheels, cuz its just so much smoother, and transitioning is much easier.
