ok im getting the junked motor on sat and if the comp test are good then its mine. I will then try the impossible... i will swap that motor into my 7 in 1 day! i will try starting at 8 at the yard(2hr removal) 1 hr drive, remove my old engine(2 to 3 hr) then put the junker in(3 to 4 hr). so does anyone think im nuts or is there a chance?

if its the same series motor, then it is perfectly possible. It takes me about 20 mins to remove the engine and about 30 to 40 to have everything installed again. Then again, I have blocked off almost everything, and I only need to connect a few electronics, and no acc. Will take alot longer if you have ac. ps. and all that ****.. I think the part that takes the longest is bolting up the tranny to the motor, just because you have to get under the car and reach for ****.. anyways good. Anyways dont rush, you might forgot things and make the swap take even longer.

people tend to brag a bit around here, knowing your car is one thing but pulling a stock motor out and getting everything wired up correctly and set right takes some time. you could easily do it in a day with some effort but 2 hours out and in i would like to see...

exactly. With all emissions equipment and accessories/vac lines/rats nest, you will be at it all day long!

I dont have the rats nest, and I run about 4 or 5 vabuum lines, BOV, WG, BOost, PS, and FPR. Thats it. Everything else is either removed or blocked off. Only thingI connect on my motor, are the injectors, cas, temp and oil pressure. The thing that takes the longest is unhooking it from the tranny.
