Jspec for usable core?
So from digging around I have gather most jspec engines are junk as far as just bolting in and them being good to go due to sitting for who knows how long in a junkyard/warehouse somewhere. My question is what are the odds of picking one up that after splitting it apart only needs water O-rings and at most apex seals and maybe springs upon reassembly? I need an engine for my car and currently was going to rebuild and stay n/a but after adding up the cost 'cause I need rotor housings for not much more I think I may be able to do a turbo swap if the jspec was a usable core.
Also most of the ones currently on Ebay are out of Canada. Anybody have any experience with them? Thanks.

Some of them come with compression test videos so even if it has pulses of 80s or whatever, at least you know all the pulses are there and you can just do a refresh of the seals. That's what I'd do anyways.

If you actually go there and do your own Compression check then you would really be ahead.
Ebay Rotary engines are a crapshoot in my opinion. They are the supreme "caveat emptor" of engines.
But Lamb is giving you a bit of good info too.
If it poofs good, rebuild it.Those engine have already sat for God who knows how long..Pressure sprayed at water drenched..
You ever see some of the insides of a so called advertised "Good working Ebay engine"?..It would scare you.The engine could use a Tetanus shot!

I'm just afraid with my luck I would end up with something like the one in this thread.
