Donate your HD engine pics to a book! (56k no way)
My sister is a book publisher and is putting together a book that needs a shot of a rotary engine. Well, since she asked me--and my RX-7 roots are fully FC, I thought I'd ask here, so that we can get a shot from an FC engine in the book.
I'm looking for a high-quality image of your FC engine--like specifically the engine rotors, or just an interesting close-up of what makes the rotary engine unique with "them spinning triangles". If anyone has an album from an engine tear-down who would be interesting having one of their HD photo's published, send me the link to you album and I'll check it out.
Can't guarantee a free copy of the book, but you will get official credit for the photo, which is cool, especially for anyone interested in photography.
Thanks,
~Erik

Let me know if there is anything you see that piques your interest:
http://www.reganrotaryracing.com/fcenginebuild.htm
I can also lay out a full engine build worth of parts to see an engine apart. No guarantee when I'd get to it though.
Regards,
crispy

Yeah, this is exactly what I'm looking for, just in slightly higher quality if possible!
Crispy, there was one photo that did pique my interest--the one with the rotor still sitting in the trochoid chamber/housing, like the shot above minus the E-shaft.
The book will be sold at Barnes and Noble and is about spirals?? Something to do with math etc. and the last example is the rotary engine! (Found this out tonight from my sister at Thanksgiving dinner).
NEED SLIGHTLY HIGHER RESOLUTION IF POSSIBLE!

take your pick, same motor before and after...
sometimes i amaze even myself!
i've only got about 50 sets of build up pics, unfortunately that is only a fraction of the total i've actually done. but this was probably the most drastic from start to finish. mythbusters sais you really can polish a turd and i concur. i take it as an example of just how resilient these motors can be regardless of all the naysayers.
