JSPEC UIM on ASPEC LIM Brake Booster
Alright...so I think since the mods have been "cleaning" up the forum a ton of threads have been deleted. I was searching for a thread that I came across 2 or 3 weeks ago where they used a jspec UIM on a ASPEC LIM and had to tap the manifold and put in a nipple to feed the brake booster. Well now I can't find that thread using the exact same search criteria I used last time and I can't remember who posted the short write up and what parts he bought, etc. So if you've ran into this situation where you need to put an xtra nipple on the jspec manifold give me some info on what I need to pick up to do it.....so why were threads such as that deleted?

Its on the most rear intake runner, there should be a flat spot near the runners. The jdm lim has the threads for the booster. On the same spot on the aspec version, there are no threads there, just metal. Thats where you drill. Or you can drill into the jspec uim, the location would be exactly where the apsec nipple would have been.

FYI, I don't thinks its that the threads are deleted. They recently re-did the search engine so it would run better. It apparently was the reason the site ran like utter **** lately. Anyway, I have been having problems with searching as well. Just try experimenting with the search words and use similar things and see if you can come up with it.
Still, I would much rather it be this way than not being able to do anything because the site was frozen half the time like it used to be....
As for the original question, why would you drill a new hole? I don't know anything about this, but it seems to me that all you would need to do is plug the brake booster into another vacuum (not metered air) source and it would work the same way. I've never seen the TII manifolds but there must be a spare vac nipple somewhere. I know there are about 5 extras on the NA manifolds.

i've tried searching everyway I can...the last time I believe I searched "jspec brake" and it found TONS of results...now it finds 11 results, of which like 9 are from 2002 and all useless. The write-up I'm looking for was fairly recent I believe.
EDIT: Example...I just searched "brake booster" across the entire forum...which you would think would bring up TONS of threads...It brought up like 10 threads between 2003-current, and then like 200 threads from 2002. It's like 90% of the threads from 2003- current are gone.

Found it...I forgot I had sent the link to someone awhile back when I first found it and the link was still in my sent messages box.
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...+booster+jspec
As you can see jspec and a ton of other keywords I tried are in the thread but that thread did not show up at all in a search, nor did the tons of other threads I looked through when I did that search a few weeks ago.....so I dunno what's up with that.
